Overview

Encourage  freshmen ChemEs to join AIChE! With free undergraduate membership, AIChE gives you your first professional credentials, exciting networking and mentorship opportunities, valuable educational and technical resources, career services – all the tools you need to reach your goals, all in one place!

Duties

• Inform freshmen students about AIChE and the benefits that come with becoming an Undergraduate Student Member
• Help the freshmen sign up online

Anticipated time commitment

1-2 hours over the course of a month; additional contributions optional

Requirements

• Must be an active Student Member
• Must be part of an official Student Chapter

What happens next

Once you have been approved for this volunteer opportunity, AIChE will send you an Excel spreadsheet in order for you to record the number of freshmen you have recruited.

Note

If this is done in a group effort, we ask that everyone within that group sign up for the opportunity in order to ensure they get recognized for their efforts. For example, if this is done at a chapter meeting, ensure that all board members are signed up for the opportunity to get credit. One Excel sheet with all of the volunteers can be submitted.
