Description:

  • Develop awards and recognition programs that highlight Young Professionals and undergraduate students, and maintain current Young Professionals Committee (YPC) run awards.
    • This includes awards for students, graduating seniors, and YPs on both local and global levels.
  • Submit proposals for new awards to the YPC leadership. Should these awards be approved, the coordinator will work with YPC leadership to determine the best means of funding and where necessary submit funding requests to the AIChE Foundation.
  • Keep YPC informed about the Foundation funding cycle & timeline and ensuring proposals are submitted on time.
  • Participate in YPC R&R Subcommittee and YPC meetings.
  • Report to the YPC’s Retention & Recruitment (R&R) Subcommittee Co-Chairs.
  • This role would begin at the 2017 AIChE Spring Meeting and end at the 2018 Spring Meeting.
