Opportunity Overview
The Paper Competition at the Annual Student Conference includes winning student papers from each of the nine US regional paper competitions held earlier this year. Papers will be presented to a panel of judges who will select the top three papers which will be awarded cash prizes sponsored by Omega Chi Epsilon. Expectations
Judges are asked to watch all 9 presentations and help determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Judges are provided with a judging rubric for each presenter. Judges are encouraged to ask questions at the end of each presentation to test the student’s ability to answer questions. The Student Paper Competition will take place Monday October 30, 2017 from 8:30am - 11:30am in the Minneapolis Convention Center Room 103E.
Requirements
Volunteers should hold a degree in Chemical Engineering, and should be comfortable judging scientific research presentations.
Note
Volunteers should be willing to travel to the competition location in Minneapolis. Unfortunately we do not have travel support available for this volunteer opportunity.
