Description:

Opportunity Overview

The Undergraduate Poster Competition has become one of the highlights of the AIChE Annual Student Conference. With more than 400 students presenting last year and over 100 judges, it is the largest forum for Chemical Engineering undergraduates to present their research activity to the professional community at large.  The Poster Competition is open for any undergraduate student to present results from projects that they have carried out as undergraduate researchers at their university or during internships/co-ops. The Poster Session covers all key areas of chemical engineering, including sustainability, catalysis and reaction engineering, computing and process control, environmental aspects of chemical engineering, food, pharmaceutical, bioengineering, fuels, petrochemicals, energy, materials, and separations.  This is an excellent opportunity for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers who have experience presenting research posters.

Expectations

All professional members of AIChE who are comfortable judging scientific research posters are encouraged to participate.  Judges will be given judging rubrics and will be assigned posters to review.  Requirements: Volunteers should hold a degree in Chemical Engineering and should be comfortable judging scientific research posters.

Note

Volunteers should be willing to travel to the competition location in Minneapolis. Unfortunately we do not have travel support available for this volunteer opportunity. Judges need to be present at the Minneapolis Convention Center Exhibit Hall B on Monday, October 30, 2017 from approximately 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM.
