The Young Professionals Mixer Coordinator for the 2018 AIChE Spring Meeting provides support to the AIChE Young Professionals Committee (YPC) and their staff liaison.
This event is an annual social event held at the beginning of each Spring Meeting to allow Young Professional members to meet each other prior to the meeting kicking off. It is a networking event in a relaxed environment at a local restaurant/bar.
Responsibilities
- Provide venue, food and beverage recommendations prior to event
- Maintain event budget with staff liaison
- Fundraise with AIChE's divisions, forums and committees
- Assist with onsite registrations for event
- Work with YPC Officers and YPC Programming Subcommittee Co-Chairs to determine theme and/or sponsor for mixer
- In charge of coordinating all publications promoting and recapping the event, as well as preparing an event summary including details such as location, budget, and approximate attendance.
- Participate in YPC Programming Subcommittee and YPC meetings.
- Attend the 2018 Spring Meeting in Orlando, FL to help host the event (In cases where this is not possible the subcommittee co-chairs or other YPC member attending the conference shall be briefed by the YP Mixer Coordinator on matters including schedule, etc. in order to ensure the social runs smoothly.)

Eligibility
- Preferably local to Florida, but not required
- Current member of AIChE and the Young Professionals Committee
- Event planning and fundraising experience
