Jeff Edwards is the Operations Manager for Chevron Phillips Chemical Company’s Port Arthur facility. He has supported the Port Arthur plant for two years. In his role, Jeff is responsible for the safety and well-being of the employees and contractors who support operations. He is also responsible for reliable plant operations while maintaining compliance to regulations.
Jeff previously served as olefins unit operations superintendent at the Sweeny facility. He had responsibility for Olefins Unit 24 for four years, followed by two years at Olefins Unit 33. Prior to Sweeny, Jeff held various assignments in the Purchasing organization in The Woodlands.
Prior to joining Chevron Phillips Chemical Company in 2006, Jeff worked at Lyondell Chemical Company. He held various operations and business assignments and participated on the Supply Chain Merger and Acquisition Team during the creation of Equistar Chemicals.
Jeff represents Chevron Phillips as a member of the University of Houston Engineering Leadership Board. It is an active time as the university works to become a Tier 1 university with a Top 50 engineering college. Jeff also represents Chevron Phillips as an officer and director in the Ethylene Producer’s Conference. This conference brings competing ethylene producer’s together to share safety and reliability improvements in a legally responsible manner.
Jeff and his wife Jean have three wonderful boys, plus two grandsons, 1 and 3 years old. Grandchildren, traveling and boating are their primary hobbies and spare time activities. Jeff holds a BSChE from the University of Arkansas and an MBA from the University of Houston.
