Professional Biography

Mr. Wood oversees the thermal hazards testing group at Fauske & Associates, LLC.  The thermal hazards testing group is responsible for providing adiabatic and isothermal calorimetry testing services by utilizing the FAI ARSST and VSP2 calorimeters as well as performing tests with DSC, ARC, TAM, and C-80.  This includes traveling to provide equipment and software training, as well as onsite contract testing to our U.S. and international customers.  Further thermal hazards analysis includes determination of SADT, TMR 24, and first order kinetic modeling.  

His responsibilities also include analysis of emergency relief systems using methods consistent with DIERS two-phase flow methodology.  This includes performing relief device audits, sizing of the relief device, piping, and effluent handling systems as well as determination of the dynamic loads on the relief system during depressurization and mitigation of improperly designed relief systems.  Gabe has served as interim Program Chair from March 2017 until present and is an AIChE Senior Member.
