Mohammed Almutawa, Chemical Engineer, graduated from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. Mohammed and his team won the second-best design globally in the international Chem-E-Car competition held at San Francisco among 42 multinational teams. During his undergraduate studies, he worked on a heat exchange network case study for one of the petrochemical companies and identified potential areas of energy saving. Upon graduation, Mohammed joined the young professional committee to contribute in building a vibrant community of young professionals that cultivates professionalism, innovation, and social responsibility through providing life-long development and networking opportunities. His areas of interest are process integration and optimization, process design and evaluation, and process safety.
