Volunteer Bio

In my previous position, I utilized my creativity along with well-established norms of the Girl Scout  organization in order to recruit, retain, place, evaluate and recognize 8,400 quality adult volunteers and over 15,000 resourceful girl members from diverse backgrounds. Under my direction, my teams streamlined volunteer screening procedures, which included introducing and implementation of Live Screen system for over 8,000 volunteers; introduced e-commerce by building the first e-council store; computerized maintenance requests at the main office; increased family giving by a little over $600,000; and computerized a central troop banking system, integrating it with the product sales systems, resulting in an income of $3,400,000.00, a 6% increase in overall sales. In addition, I oversaw the integration of several databases into one web-based database. While volunteering for the GetSET program, a collaborative program between our GS Council and the local chapter of Society of Women Engineers, I fell in love with engineering.
I am interested in deep learning and the eventual convergence of human and machine. I believe that the key to achieving A.I. will be an understanding of computer technology, chemistry and all of the chemical properties/laws as they relate to components of biological systems and a masterful ability to synthesize those biological systems.
