Volunteer Profile

I joined OLI in March 2013 as a technical support engineer in the client success and support team. My primary responsibility involves providing application support in the use of OLI software products, testing the OLI software in both its stand-alone and alliance partner version i.e. Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II and UniSim Design. I also perform and debug advanced process simulation studies. My role has evolved to be a client success consultant. I bring in my chemical engineering knowledge to solve client simulation problems. One of my main tasks is working with the clients to define the necessary improvements, bug fixes and future projects and bring the feedback to the OLI software development team to ensure client’s success.

As a Client Success Consultant at OLI Systems, Inc., I consults with a broad range of clients on industry specific process modeling and simulation applications in oil & gas, metals & mining, chemicals, power generation, water treatment and academia.  I have deep understanding and skills in process modeling and simulation applied to chemical processes as well as electrolyte and water chemistry applications. 

Accomplishments

With graduate degrees in chemical engineering and operations management, I have seven years of industry experience in chemical process simulation area. I proposed and implemented the idea of the OLI wiki to collaborate all the technical support assets and documents on an easy-to-use platform. I have worked with clients to successfully accomplish their goals. One area of my simulation expertise is in refinery overheads corrosion phenomena. A recent major support project involved dealing with corrosion problems in a client refinery based in Netherlands. Other ongoing initiatives include social media marketing strategy implementation and help in driving product portfolio management to benefit OLI clients.
