    Hello Jose, how are you? I hope you and your family are safe and doing well during these tough times.

    I think that knowing BI tools (like Excel, VBA, Python, PowerBI, Tableau etc) and other tools that are very important for the area you are willing to work on (let's say you want to be a process engineer, so knowing the main simulation software is a great deal, like ASPEN, HYSYS, DWSim etc).

    Nevertheless, you have to know how to communicate and interact with you co-workers, so soft skills, nowadays, is as important as hard skills. I made a few posts on this forum that I recommend you checking out, and I believe they're going to be very helpful to you:
