    Hello Everyone.

I would like to know if you have information about internal leaks (passing) tests for natural gas block valves in service, which are expected to be open during normal operation conditions. Most of these valves are only available to close during few major maintenances per year.

In addition to this, due to operating conditions, there are pipeline sections that cannot be depressurized so often.

In your experience, which type of internal leak test have you used and how it has been working for you? Have you defined a frequency for this test?

Do you classify internal leaks? Do you know any standard or recommended practice for it? I know API 598 defines valve testing as part of purchase process.

    Thank you very much.

    Best Regards.
